Hello lovelies! After last weeks more serious post, I thought that this week my blog was in need for something a litte more light hearted. During the recent mother’s day weekend my mum came for a visit and we went to this beautiful castle near where I live and I actually asked her to take some outfit photos for me. The weather was absolutely beautiful – super sunny and super warm – perfect for a little photo shoot. Now neither I am a fashion blogger nor do I claim to have particularly interesting style so apologies for some awkward posing. But I did like my outfit that day, which is why I wanted to share it with you on the blog.
Between the age of 13 and 18 I went through something that my doctor called temporary depression. Which basically means I would go through phases where I’d feel absolutely fine but then the next day I’d feel completely depressed. This depressive feeling could be over in a day but it could also stay for weeks or even months. So I never really knew what the next day would be like. Now obviously dealing with depression is hard. We all know that. But what I found the hardest during this time was the fact that I never knew what to say.
Once again, I have to apologize for being so absent recently. To be honest with out I am really struggling with finding new blog post ideas. No wait, that’s not quite right. I have the ideas all in my head and I’ve written a few of them down but I just don’t know how to phrase them and turn these ideas into a presentable blog post. I don’t know why but I am working on it, so bear with me. The posts are coming! Anyways it’s the beginning of a new month which means it’s time to share another life lately. Can you believe it’s already May? It’s crazy how fast time flies.
Trying to eat healthy, or living a healthy lifestyle in general can be quite difficult at times. It doesn’t matter if you are cooking a meal for yourself or if you are going out to dinner, choosing the healthy option is not always the easiest. Sometimes just just don’t want to pass on the delicious crisps or a scoop of ice cream or those pancakes you love for breakfast. Over the past few years I’ve learned that cutting all your favourite (unhealthy foods) from your food diary can be helpful for some sort of a quick fix but most of the time people tend to go back to old habits after one month or maybe two. And that’s just it: People are creatures of habits. Which is why this time I’m going to go all the way.
For many people, writing an English blog as a German, can raise some questions. I often get asked, not just by readers but also by family and friends, why did you choose to write your blog in English, why do you love this language so much or how did you became so good at it?
